35 Week Bumpdate

Wednesday, April 29, 2015

I'm just going to jump straight into my update this week because, while I had my long appt., I haven't heard anything back from them and I don't see my Dr. again until the beginning of next week. No news is normally good news!

How Far Along: 35 Weeks

Name: River Jayce (Bryson and I have been discussing another middle name for two middle names and it's starting to grow on me, but I want to wait to see if it fits him)

Size: Coconut. Anywhere from 17.2-18.7 inches and 4.2-5.8 lbs. Hearing is fully developed this week and now he just has some plumping up to do! And if the strength of his kicks/rolls are any indication of how he's growing he's getting huge!

Gender: Our little dude, River Jayce!

Total weight gain: Honestly, I am not stepping on the scale this week. I just cannot look at the number any more. It makes me mad at myself, and I don't like that. My clothes are not fitting at all, I have 0 energy and moving is getting hard. I have been trying to not let the weight gain get to me but I busted my ass for two years to lose a lot of weight and now I have all of that and some to lose again. It's just hard.

Maternity Clothes: Maternity clothes barely fit me any more. I about to just live in sweat pants....oh yeah, except some sweatpants don't even fit me anymore.

Stretch marks? It seems like they're getting worse, but I don't take inventory. My stomach is stretched to the max though.

Sleep: Not great, but when I'm sleeping hard, I'm sleeping hard. I have been super thirsty at night and get up to pee a ridiculous amount of times.

Movement: River is beating up my ribs and escaping from my side. This boy is a rolie polie just like his brother!

Best moment this week: Bryson came home this week :) I was really missing him but he goes back on shift tomorrow and is changing shifts....so I won't see him pretty much another 4 days. Awesome.

Hubby is: Trying to handle my hormones and still picking up my major slack. I was trying on dresses to try and find something to wear for some baby showers I am going to this weekend and he said we should try and go shopping to find something I feel good in. Big mistake. He picked out some dresses for me to try on and 2 I couldn't squeeze on and the other ones just looked not great. He wanted to go look at some more places but it was all I could do to not break down in the store so we ended up leaving. He was really reassuring on the way home, reminding me of the bed rest and how sick I've been but it was still sucky.

Miss Anything: Can I be really vain here and say I miss my body? Like, a lot. Yes, I had stretch marks and love handles, but I felt good. It was the only time I have ever felt really confident about how I look and I miss feeling like that about myself. I need to be nicer to myself and I keep reminding myself that this is only a short period of my life and it will all be worth it. But that doesn't mean it doesn't suck right now.

Belly button in or out? Flush with my stomach and out a little.

Food cravings: Really nauseous this week but I haven't had any strong cravings.

Anything making you queasy or sick: All of these contractions are making me so sick! I keep puking in my mouth- super gross.

Labor Signs: Contractions, so. many. contractions. I honestly don't know how it hasn't kickstarted real labor. I am just so beat from the amount of contractions I have been having. It leads to an upset stomach and lots of nausea.

Wedding ring on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Definitely a little bit of both. I don't want to make excuses for my crappy attitude but I am so tired of feeling so sick. This whole pregnancy I have had maybe two weeks where I have felt ok.

Looking forward to: This weekend should be a lot of fun! I am co-hosting some showers and bringing Lo to a birthday party. My aunts are also coming to town (one of the showers is for her) and we already have some walks and hanging out planned!

This is one of the dresses I plan on wearing to the showers but I need to sew up the slit a little bit. With my bump it is a little higher than it needs to be haha hence why I am holding it in. I just wanted to share it because it shows my bump nice.

This week Foster became a mama's boy. With sister and dad being gone someone got super clingy to mom. I don't mind :)

A couple of pictures from Bryson's trip. He had a great time and said it was an awesome experience.

Now that I am off strict bed rest I have been trying to get out of the house and do a little walking. First it was just stores but yesterday Bryson, Foster and I went on our first real walk of the 3rd trimester. We walked 1 1/2 miles, stopped at a coffee shop then headed back home. 3 miles, a coffee shop and a park later and you get one very tired mama.

It was parent viewing week in Lo's gymnastics class this week and they did circus week. So they all put on funny noses during their stretches. She has gained so much confidence through gymnastics and is doing really, really well.

This is the last week of school and this is how I have done all of my work. Foster watching a movie, laying on my face while I try to type. I think he was. It feels so, so good that the semester is almost over. Even through all of these challenges I have managed to keep my grades up and I know that I have done everything I can. This has been by far my most challenging semester, even though the classes weren't necessarily too hard. Next semester will bring a lot of changes and I cannot wait to start that part of my journey.

You still look amazing girl, even if you don't feel like it! And glad Bryson finally came home and you guys got to spend some time together! Love that cute pic of Foster sleeping on you too! Only a few more weeks to go!
