Day Trip to Colorado

Thursday, October 10, 2013

This past week, when Brysons family came down from WY, we made a day trip up to CO to walk around the town and eat some yummy food. We stopped at our favorite restaurant, Carvers, where the motto is Eat Healthy, Drink Beer. I mean, come on, it doesn't get better than that.

The Raspberry Wheat Ale is super delish and they have homemade root beers

Myles always looks so big! It's crazy to think in a month Foster will be as big as his cousin!

Artichoke dip for starters

and my very favorite duck tacos! We got these as an appetizer once and now I get them as a meal. I can normally only finish two but if you go there you HAVE to get it

Bryson had a stuffed pepper

After lunch we walked around and looked in some of the shops

Darn my sensitive eyes haha I'm always blinking

I asked him, "Babe, did you smile?" He says, "Yeah" This is what we end up with.

I can't wait until I'm going to school up here next year!

This is an awesome store called Del Sol. Everything is super plain until it gets into the sun then it changes crazy colors! Logan and I made a stop in here and she was changing everything. I really love this store; you definitely need to stop there if you make a trip to Durango if you have kids.

Foster and Myles enjoyed walking around. It was so warm and they didn't cry once :)

If you normally shop at Teavana (guilty) STOP! There are a ton of local stores that do the same thing for the same price. This is The Tea Room  and it's an awesome place to sit and drink tea or pick some up to go. It smelt amazing in the store and after we hung out there for awhile I picked up some Monticello Hot Cocoa before we left.

Literally as we were leaving town I hopped out of the car and picked up this skirt at The Silk Sparrow

We had a blast (as always) and seriously, I can't wait to go to school up there!
