Foster's 1st Birthday

Monday, July 28, 2014

Well, he's one! This year has flown by, I actually feel like every year goes by faster and faster. Like his sister, he is very advanced for his age. He's walking (running), can say a lot of words, he's getting out of his crib and jumping over the couch. He's also getting quite the little attitude! His birthday party was a blast! We were so thankful for everyone that was able to come and celebrate our little man.

He had a monster themed party and we just kept it simple. I always go all out on birthday parties and get crazy stressed and turn into a monster myself. This party was so fun! We swam and just hung out, Foster loved swimming! He didn't want out of the pool! He was not interested in presents...or cake really for that matter. He just wanted to swim and play with his plastic fork ;) It was SO hot out that a pool party was the perfect way to spend the day. His cake pops and cake started melting immediately but we didn't mind!

This past year with him has been amazing. I love his personality, and the way he tackles his sister when she comes home. I love how he tries to make a break for the door every time it's open because he wants to see the puppies. I'm sooooo excited for this next year watching him grow!

What I {Wore} Wednesday

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

So many of you know that I am from New Mexico and this summer has been extremely hot, so there is nothing more I love than a crazy cute tank top that also happens to be from a brand new company created by a girl that I grew up with and her boyfriend. I am absolutely obsessed with their company! Not to mention it fits my hubby's style to a t.

11 month PP Update

Tuesday, July 22, 2014

Well, I wasn't wanting to do this until I was happy with how I look but this is me! I told myself I'd be looking fan-freaking-tastic by the time foster was one and at 6 months I was telling myself I had time but now, with only a couple of weeks left, I'm realizing that I obviously wasn't focusing on how I looked enough to  reach my "goal" and I'm totally ok with that. I have been roasting s'mores over the campfire and making pancakes in the morning when Lo asks. We are totally just loving summer.

Kids & Chores

Tuesday, July 8, 2014

Growing up I always had chores. We didn't sleep in, were expected to play sports and to take home the best grades to our ability. We weren't overloaded with chores but I definitely had more chores than all of my friends...probably more than my friends combined.

With that being said, I am definitely not complaining now...even though I'm sure back then I had a few choice words to say. Well, that's not entirely true. I'm sure there was a sigh here and a complaint there but for the most part we just did them, it was just our way of life. I remember going to friends houses and their parents would ask them to clean their rooms and they would go off the freaking wall. #Awkward #That'sANiceLamp

Teaching your kids chores is so important. It teaches perseverance, self motivation, patience and just what living in a household and holding a job means. Lo has always been great about certain chores...actually, pretty much all chores. She is OCD and keeps her room clean, as soon as she turned three she started putting away her own clothes/dusting where she can reach and this year she helps fold clothes, sets the table and today she started vacuuming!

This year was Fosters FIRST fourth of July and we had so much fun! Our town does fireworks on the third because there is a big farm that does them on the fourth so on the third we went to my cousins house and had an awesome time hanging out with cousins, eating, playing with sparklers and watching fireworks. Foster is absolutely in love with the fireworks and Lo had a blast with the sparklers (until she caught one in between her fingers, but we don't need to relive that ordeal).

Bryson recently was hired as a bartender for a second job and he was able to take the day shift so he was able to be apart of all the fun, family festivities. I am absolutely in love with these people and we had such am amazing time.

I hope everyone had a fun and event-filled holiday weekend and don't forget to thank a man or women in service for giving us the opportunity to be able to celebrate our freedom!

Back To Normal

Wednesday, July 2, 2014

My sweet girl is finally home! These past 5 weeks have dragged. I remember when she was two and I only had to share her for two weeks and it felt like an eternity.

Last night we stayed up late and waited for dad to get home and she had a million and one stories to tell us about her trip with her dad. Foster missed her more that words can say, he was sleeping when I picked her up and she was whispering to me and immediately those little eyes popped open and he yelled, "SISSY!!!"

I get in a very down mood whenever Lo goes away for so long and Foster has been sooooo naughty so it really didn't help anything that anytime we were alone together he was screaming at the top of his lungs (whether I was holding him or not). I thought when Lo got back that he would quit that...I was wrong. He is still being very fussy but hopefully in a couple of days everything really is

back to normal.

So You Wanna Start a Juice Fast...

Monday, June 16, 2014

Juicing is obviously huge right now and there are a lot of reasons why so many people have jumped on board the juice train (if you've been following me for awhile swap juice train with The Juice Bus ;) ) Juicing gives your body a much needed break from using energy to break down food and send that energy straight to you to use. I also have to say I absolutely loathe the word fast. In our house we  call it a juice cleanse but it is commonly referred to as a juice feast because, if you are fasting properly, you should never feel a hungry sensation.

Here are some of the main reasons why I, personally, juice feast:

* To give my digestive system a break
* Allow the body to cleanse waste and toxins a greatly accelerated speed
* To learn that missing a meal isn't the worst thing in the world
* To experience how energizing nourishing foods are - rather than filling foods
* To reestablish your gratitude for food
* Save money and time from prepping
* To gain control over food, rather than food controlling you
* Weight-loss

What I {ATE} Wednesday

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

I've been deciding whether or not to start this new post series call What I Wednesday. I'll post what I {LOVE} {ATE} {WORE} and who knows what else! I thought first I'd just go over a quick day of what I normally eat.

I eat anywhere from 800-1500 calls a day and some days are freakin killer and others could use some work but I enjoy food and I'd rather eat good food and be happy than dry salad and be that person.
You can't even pretend to like dry salad.
It's gross.

I always start off my morning with some type of juice. It's normally very green but sometimes I like to mix it up with a little more fruit.

The Problems with Blogging {A Little Life Lately}

Monday, June 9, 2014

As of late I have been MIA because of a major computer malfunction. Long story short I thought I lost all of my pictures (and all of my clients pictures) and I thought my new computer was fried. Thankfully it was able to get restored and my cousin was able to get all 221 GB of data off of my computer. So let's get to the problems with blogging.

Foster Brady: 10 Month Update

Wednesday, June 4, 2014

Hello all! I'm sorry I have been so distant lately but my computer is in the shop and I have been stressed beyond belief lately. But it's looking like it'll be fixed soon so here's another phone post :)

Age: 10 Months
Height: 27.5 inches
Weight: 22.6 lbs
Milestones: He's still working on walking and this month he's gotten even more active (I didn't know it was possible. He absolutely loves going outside and he'll crawl/run to the back door and yell, "PUPPY!!!" Until we go outside.
Best Moment:  He does this thing we call Sweet Baby where he lays his head on you and cuddles. It normally means that he did something naughty or he's going to do something naughty.
Health: Perfect :) it's crazy to me that it's time to start planning his first birthday!
Eating: We are still trucking on with breast feeding, with no signs of quitting in the neat future. When he's with other people he will hardly drink from a bottle so he eats really well but when I'm home hrs constantly latched on.
Teeth: 7 teeth for this big boy. 3 on top and 4 on the bottom.
Extra Comments: He's getting so big and he has been a blast. He is sooooo different from Lo and I love his naughty little personality. He's been a big mommas boy lately and I can't say that I mind :)

Foster Brady: 9 month update

Thursday, May 15, 2014

So this post is a little late but we've had so many incredible memories this month that I figured late was better than never. Foster had a doctors appointment the day before his nine month birthday so I'll go ahead and use all of those measurements :)

Age: 9 Months
Height: 29 inches 75%
Weight: 19 lbs 8 oz 50%
Milestones: He can say a lot of words like momma, dada, papa, puppy, sis and it's up in the air if he said dacy (his aunt). He also has teeth galore, can skoot on a skateboard, WALKED 5 steps and can stand forever. This month his personality is really showing. He loves being a trickster and will hide and scare you. He is also showing me that he is trouble! This is only one of his recent escapades but he flips over his toy basket, pushes it to the couch and climbs up. The only problem is he hasn't quite been able to figure out how to get down so he just rolls off. This boy is crazy! He is always bruised!
Best Moment:  So many great moments but a couple of my favorites are him wrestling with sister, it is absolutely hilarious and riding bikes with this adventurous boy. He loves riding bikes whether it's in the trailer or on his own bike. He also does this bratty thing where he'll do something naughty and then smile really big and claps. Oh! And he's biting- definitely NOT a best moment.
Health: Great! He's growing so big and it's crazy how much he's changed this month!
Eating: We are still exclusively breast feeding! He can eat regular food but he really prefers milk. We'll give him anything we eat for dinner but normally it end up on the ground. One thing he loves is drinking out of cups!
Teeth: 5 teeth! Two on top and three on the bottom. They are so funny and spread out. I love it :)
Extra Comments: The another month has came and gone and I can't believe how big he is! (This post is so late he's almost 10 months!) He is so wild and rough! I can't believe it's time to start planning his first birthday! (I promise I won't cry) ((I totally will))

Seriously, there is nothing funnier than them wrestling

Brunette to Ashy Blonde

Sunday, May 11, 2014

Hey ladies! If you follow any of my Facebook sites or instagram then you probably notice I had a big makeover a couple of days ago. My gorgeous Shey brought my hair back to a fun summer color. I have changed my hair color a million times and have always gone back to the same boring blonde, NOT THIS TIME! This time I was really excited to do something different and I think that I'll definitely be keeping this color for a LONG time.
