Getting Ready for Christmas

Tuesday, December 2, 2014

Before I say anything I just have to say that I am 100% positive that I have the most adorable little munchkins in the entire universe. As of today the house is decorated - but not vacuumed, clothes are put away - but there is quite a few to clean and I am ready for every Christmas party except ours. I thought I would take a break from finals and get these adorable Christmas pictures up before it was New Years.

11 Week Bumpdate #2

Wednesday, November 19, 2014

We are at week 11! When you have two kids and are constantly going, going, time just gets away from you! Lo started girl scouts this week and Foster has just been on the move. We are pretty sure he has two more teeth coming in. He's been chewing on everything and drooling a ton. Also fussy, which is really not like him. With Foster pregnancy flew by as well but I was still able to take an afternoon nap, there is definitely not that luxury this time around! Oh well, hopefully it just makes this part fly by. I am not a good pregnant person haha I definitely don't enjoy it.

Forever 21 Finds

Sunday, November 2, 2014

Today is the last day of F21's 20% off sale. Use code F21FRIEND at checkout.

If you are like me then you love sweaters. Who doesn't love a good sweater? Then you need to check out F21 right now. I am not completely in love with them, I feel like it's hit and miss. Sometimes I want everything on there and other times I have a hard time finding one thing that I actually like. Today was definitely a hit!

While coping with the time change and being up at four in the morning I was editing pictures and doing a little online shopping. I found some finds that I am super excited about and thought I would share!

Bountiful Baskets {Review}

Saturday, October 25, 2014

We finally have a Bountiful Baskets in my home town! I have been waiting for one to open up here and it's amazing! You can buy up to three baskets ($15 each for all of the food) but for the first time I just wanted to see what all was in it and the quality of the food. I was super pleased! The only downside is you don't get to pick what you get but I have ideas for pretty much everything! Except the radishes...do people really eat radishes?

Everything we got is in good shape and some of it isn't ripe yet so it will last awhile. I will definitely get 3 baskets next time,  I would save over $90 that way! Win. Win. Win.

They come every two weeks and it's always different foods but is always 50% fruits and 50% veggies. I was hoping we would get some potatoes/carrots so I could make some soup but we still have a lot of different things and with the money that we save it's no problem picking a couple of things up from the store.

So below I have the prices of what everything would have cost if I purchased it at the store.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

You know it's a good meal when your one year old takes a bite and then hi-fives you or when your husband says, "This is delicious!" and your 5 year old interjects with, "This is more than delicious, it's...DELICIOSO!"

Lo Started Kindergarten

Sunday, October 12, 2014

This year my sweet girl started Kindergarten. She has been doing amazing and has made so many awesome friends. She has really grown from a toddler to a kid this year and it's still weird for me to look and not see a little baby. She has been such a huge help with Foster and loves her brother more than anything, and he loves her just as much. Whenever Bryson is at work they will both sleep in bed with me and normally when it's just Foster and I he will crawl over and give me lots of kisses, but when Lo is home he totally ignores me and loves on his sister.  When it is time to wake Lo up for school he runs into her room yelling "Sissy".

Every year I give Lo a little mini interview and it's fun to see how her answers have changed over the years and what has stayed the same.

Tough Mudder 2014

Monday, September 22, 2014

Last week Bryson and I ran (and completed) our first Tough Mudder! 11 miles in Utah, we ran up and down probably a million ravines (ok, like 30), jumped in ice water (I will NEVER do that again), did monkey bars shaped like an upside down V, Climbed over 16 foot walls, ran up a 30 foot, greased half pipe, ran through electrical wires and of course, played in the mud. We finished in 3 hours and 10 minutes (average is 4 hours) and I am SO proud of us! Honestly, Bryson could've finished in 2ish hours but I am no runner and have NEVER ran over 6 miles. It was a blast and we will definitely be doing it again. It was the hardest thing I have ever done, including giving birth, and my heart rate had an average of 190 and not once did it go under 170. 3,000+ calories later and we were enjoying some Dos Equis and protein bars.

Thank you honey for always pushing me and for staying by mysids the whole time. I never could've done it without you!

Be prepared for picture overload!

Family Pictures {2014}

Friday, September 5, 2014

This past week we had our family pictures done and I am in love with them! It was perfect timing to get them done, so much in our life has changed recently! Lo is turning 5 in a couple of weeks and just started kindergarten! She's been sent to the principals office once....but that's another story for another day, but remind me to tell you because it really is great. Foster just turned one  and has been changing SO much, he even got a haircut, (not mammas choice, but daddy wanted it to grow more even). Bryson and I are also celebrating our two year anniversary this month! Where has the time gone? We started dating when he was a handsome 22 year old and now he is a studly 26 year old.

To the Momma Who's Not Going to Miss These Moments

Friday, August 29, 2014

He can totally get out of this. I have zero idea how.

My son is crying at my feet and my daughter needs more attentions than I can mentally give her.

But you're going to miss these moments.

The house is a mess, the dishes aren't done, the laundry smells like mildew and the vacuum may actually need to be dusted.

But you're going to miss these moments.

Between the feedings, the diaper changes, the baths and the "No! Don't put that in your mouth!" there is no time for sleep let alone your weekly shower.

But you're going to miss these moments.

OOTD: White Blazer

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Currently I am OBSESSED with my new blazer. I would wear this every, single day if it I wasn't stressed beyond belief that it would get dirty. It falls perfectly which is kind of hard to see in the picture but it like folds over all awesome like on the bottom. It is a really great cut and the cuffs are perfect.

I'm still all about comfort so I threw on a quick tank and some jeans with it and called it good. Can we talk about these jeans for a sec? I recently went shopping at Express and have fallen in love with their jeans. They feel worn and are like wearing leggings but they're totally not jeggings....so there's that.

I have been so busy lately and I love it. I am 100% more productive/organized/happier when my days are all scheduled perfectly. I am loving my planner that I got from Target but am needing a bigger one....like a thicker one that is still small. So if anyone has any planners that they just can't live without, help a momma out!

Farmers Market/Grocery Store Haul $100

Saturday, August 23, 2014

Today I FINALLY made it over to our local Farmers Market and picked up some local, organic fruit and veggies. It smelt AMAZING. If you are from New Mexico you know there are few smells better than roasting green chile. So with $100 in my pocket, two kids in my stroller and a large Natural Grocers bag on my arm we got there early, fought the crowds and left with an amazing haul.

Bryson and I decided the days he wasn't working we would try to go to the Farmers Market every saturday. We have a basic list that we get every time we go shopping and it was great to be able to get some of it local.

Everything from the eggs left is from the Farmers Market and from the granola right is from the grocery store.
