Calling All YouTubers!

Hey all.

I have a confession.

I'm addicted to YouTube.

I know what you're thinking, who isn't!?

You may have notice the low quality vidoes I've been putting up that are obviously from my phone. They are just super simple videos that I have been trying my hardest to take (which is crazy embarrassing because I have a nice camera that takes bomb videos). I love looking back on photos from when Lo was small but you know what brings this momma to tears?

The videos of her saying monkey, or dropping her first puppy because he was "hebby".

So this brings me to the post, I need help!

I really have no idea what to do to make  1) an interesting video 2) what people would even want to see 3) any advice!

I don't plan on just doing videos but I thought it would be fun to add them to my day in the life posts or just random posts.

So what do you guys like/don't like in a youtube video?

I think my main question is, WOULD ANY OF YOU EVEN WATCH IT?

I can't offer advice on how to shoot decent quality video. But as a viewer of videos, I will say this: When it comes to kid vids, keep it short (even the most darling child is only darling for 30 seconds, if that, to anyone who is not blood related). And I love a quick tutorial on almost any subject I'm interested in (the perfect application of liquid eyeliner, styling a particular item of clothing). Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! I definitely have the quality of video down just from my photography throughout the years. I've spent the afternoon recording and getting the hang of what I want it to be, I'm excited to post my first vlog!

I look for good quality videos where the sound isn't pitched higher or lower, it ruins the video for me and also I look for videos that are not really long.

I definitely have the quality part down pretty good. My video I have exporting now is around 13 minutes and I'm worried it's way too long. It's a take on a day in the life so there a lot of stuff in it and no clip is that long by itself. Definitely let me know what you think tomorrow!
