Hiking in the Snow

Sunday, April 13, 2014

Yesterday the fambam and I went hiking. We weren't anticipating as much snow as their was but it was warm and we had a blast. We had never been on this trail before and it was just the perfect length for Lo to go on without getting too tired. There was a trail of darker snow and every once in awhile there wouldn't be any but there were parts that if you stepped of the trail you sunk down to your knees. At one point Bryson sunk down to his thighs! The only person who didn't sink down at all was Lo.

Foster loved the whole hike and when we were walking around down town and picking up some incense, he took the cutest nap in his backpack. The backpack he was in is really special to me because it was my old one :) After our hike and walking around down town I took some prom pictures for my sister. She looked absolutely amazing :)

Last night was a LONGGGG night. Foster did not sleep at all until around 5:30/6 this morning so today has been pretty rough on me. Hopefully tonight is much better because Bryson is at work for the next forty-eight hours and I have 4 huge tests on Monday and Tuesday (wish me luck!).

Another fun thing I did today- grocery shopping without littles!!! You mommas know that grocery shopping alone is pretty much a five star vacation. It did take me twice as long because I was enjoying myself so much haha but now we're home and the groceries are all put aways and I'm wondering what the heck to make for dinner, any advice welcomed. So I'm off to do that - goodnight lovelies! May your kids sleep soundly all night and wake up cheerful and ready to clean their rooms ;)

These pictures are amazing! My parents live in NM but I've only been out to visit a few times and never in the winter! It's so pretty out there though!

This is actually in CO. We live 30ish minutes away so we're always traveling to the mountains :)

Is the backpack old as in your parents used it with you, or you used it with Logan? I really like it. The proximity to CO is the thing I miss most about living in the Four Corners, although, the Chicago skyline has a very different kind of beauty!

My parents used it with me and I used it with Lo. I love being so close to the mountains but I bet! I love big city views!

So jealous! I love hiking! I haven't been able to get out as much yet this year though.
