It was another eventful week, and I'm not talking about dying eggs or a fun, family filled Easter; it was filled with more trips to the hospital. A slightly shortened cervix (2.7 instead of 2.8), finding out I'm 1-2 cm dilated (instead of closed and hard), talks of being transferred to the hospital, strict bed rest, hour + long contractions, a whole lot of petty, selfish emotions, and some very, VERY unwelcome comments about how I am putting baby in danger by not being on hospital bed rest or in my bed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Mental health is important too. So if I want to go out and sit for an hour or I relocate outside on the grass to watch the kids play- I don't need anyone's opinion about it. I am laying down a majority of the day and pick and choose the couple of things I do a week, all of which are relaxing and don't involve rock climbing, biking, or jumping jacks. So thank you everyone for your opinions, but unless you're my doctors, please, keep them to yourself.
To answer another question I have been getting a lot of this week:
Yes, I am due early June.
and
Yes, I'm sure.
;)
My belly had a huge growth spurt this week. River must be growing away in there! I feel him trying to escape through my sides, just like his brother did. Lo was more about kicking the ribs :)
Just kind of a blah week. I don't want to go to the Dr tomorrow because we'll be discussing options about care that I really don't want to go over and checking to see for more dilation, cervical changes and another FFN test. Pretty much every time I go to the Dr. or the hospital there is some negative change....so maybe if I stop going it will all stop changing ;)
Easter at my Mema and Papa's house. This dress lasted about ten minutes then I changed into something more comfy. I am all about comfort lately with the amount of contractions I have been having.
How Far Along: 32 Weeks
Name: River Jayce
Size: River is the size of a squash...but what kind of squash? We may never know ;) So anywhere from 15.2 - 16.7 inches and 2.5-3.8 lbs....AGAIN! Ok, The Bump, there is no way baby this late in pregnancy has the same measurements three weeks in a row. I just looked at next week because I was getting annoyed that they were the same...so apparently, baby stays the same for three weeks then has a huge growth spurt haha
Gender: Our little dude, River Jayce!
Total weight gain: 27 lbs. Sooooo ready for the weight to slow down. I'm just trying to accept it and not let it get the better of me but I am feeling every pound everywhere.
Maternity Clothes: No, mainly comfy clothes at home and maxi dresses or stretchy dresses the rest of the time.
Stretch marks? Not that I know of. I totally did an awful job of putting on lotion every day last week like I said I was going to do. I think it made it on two to three times. I guess that's better than not at all. I have also been soooo thirsty lately, I feel like hydrating from the inside helps more than lotion anyways.
Sleep: Neither Bryson or I are sleeping great this week. I have had so many contractions they wake me up and Bryson has been up a lot, which is really strange for him. He normally sleeps like a rock. He's actually woken me up a couple of times because he's jumped up or sat up quick. I am not very nice when he wakes me up...sorry babe.
Movement: So much movement. River is just a little wiggle worm and if that means he's going to be just like his brother than this mama better get ready! Two little hoodlums running loose! It's going to go faster than I think :)
Best moment this week: Telling the family was really fun. Most had their suspicions but we kept it a secret for a long time and it was fun finally being able to say it.
Miss Anything: I am really craving a spin class or hiking. Really random.
Belly button in or out? flush with my stomach and out a little.
Food cravings: Carbs again :( I thought the cravings would pass after a couple weeks of eating less carbs but it is here with full force!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Life just makes me sick.
Labor Signs: Contractions, a shortening cervix, dilated to a 1-2.
Wedding ring on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I have moments of both.
Looking forward to: Hmmmmm what is there to look forward to this week? I don't know. Maybe something exciting will happen.

You look great, mama! I'm sorry you have been put on bed rest. Just do the best you can. I can't imagine being on BR with my 1 year old. It would be impossible. I can't believe you are already dilated! My doctor still hasn't checked me and I'm already 36 weeks pregnant, but I wouldn't be surprised if I were with the way I've been feeling. I hope you feel better and that your contractions slow up! I have found that drinking water helps with them a little.
You look adorable! Sorry to hear you've been put on bed rest, I'm sure that's so hard to do, especially with little ones to look after. Hopefully you have some help! And hopefully your sweet baby stays put for a while yet. Also, I just found your blog and realized that I'm only two weeks behind you. It's always nice to follow along on other mama's journeys :)
you look too cute!! bed rest is a bummer, I feel for you! don't worry about what others say, all the sudden everyone has an opinion when you're pregnant and it can be exhausting. you know your baby and your body! hope this week is a little less stressful!

Pregnancy is such a scary rollercoaster. There were days I just wanted my baby out because I thought she would be "safer". Praying for you mama! You look great by the way and I love the name!

Girl, I am so sorry to hear you're going through all of that! The negative comments are definitely not necessary. People need to mind their own business and realize that not everyone is the same and just because you're doing something differently than they would doesn't mean you're putting yourself or your baby in danger. Ignore all the haters, you look amazing and if the dr says you're doing fine who is anyone else to judge? Only a few more weeks to go! :)
Oh my goodness! I am so sorry you're going through all of this! On the flipside- you look absolutely incredible! I hope ya'll have a great weekend and relax!
