Age: 6 Months
Weight: 17 lbs 3 oz
Milestones: Oh my, so much! He is crawling, he can sit up, he moves EVERYWHERE! He thinks the side tables are gymnasiums
Best Moment: All of them :) He is perfectly perfect in every way.
Health: Perfect. He's very advanced for his age. He had his 6 month check up yesterday and the Dr said everything looked great.
Eating: Awesome! He is now eating baby food (homemade-recipes to come) and loves the rice cereal. He is still primarily breast fed though.
Extra Comments: The spitting up is almost done and 3-ish days ago he decided to start sucking his thumb. Not exactly sure where that came from but I think he'll grow out of it :)
These past three months have been RIDICULOUS! No joke, between weddings, holidays, birthdays, travels, school, work, ext ext ext that I literally had no time to fit in to many blog updates. Which is why this month has been so scarce. That will change now though. We're getting back into a routine after having to schedule in when I am going to eat for the past month.
Check below his other pics to see exactly what I mean

I love my husband oh so much.
Let's just start by saying that. He is an amazing supporter, wonderful husband, involved dad, and it just so happens that he is on part of his vacation for the year.
Sixteen days of family time.
Sixteen days where I am at school a majority of the day and he is home with both kids.
Sixteen days where he looks like a frazzled house wife.

This weekend the hubby and I made the 8 hour drive to vivaaaa Las Vegas! for his sisters wedding. We decided to make a little vacay out of it and went to shows and dinners that we normally wouldn't think of with the kids. Mainly though, we just enjoyed each other company.
Through the drive we listened to (almost) the full audio book of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The drive pretty much flew by and we hardly talked but it was lovely.

We did it! We are through with animal products and bi-products and living a healthier and environmentally friendly lifestyle. There has been some definite hit and misses in the food department but I am proud to say there have definitely been more hits and have found some recipes that are WAY better than anything I had been cooking.

I knew this day would come, I just didn't want to believe it. My husband made me take down the Christmas tree. I protested, believe me the excuses were just rolling out of my mouth.
"It's so pretty though!"
"It's so relaxing!"
"It hasn't even snowed yet!"
"I wanted to take pictures of the kids in front of it!"
His only response was, "I'm going to the store and when I get back, it's gone."
Whatever dude! There is no way it's leaving yet. I was not mentally prepared for the holidays to be over. Then the images of him pulling it to the shed with me holding the metal stump just dragging on the carpet face down started coming to mind.
My first thought was, "I guess I could do that today" Then the realization hit me that I'm an adult and if I tried that he'd just shake me off and I'd feel really dumb just laying there.
So down came the tree and out came the tears.
