My Cliche 2014 Resolution + 2013 Recap {Gym Membership Giveaway}

Tuesday, December 31, 2013

I've decided to do two lists for this post. One for a more serious things that I wish to accomplish this coming year and another of things that I shouldn't have to tell myself to stop doing, I just shouldn't do them.

Stalking People via Social Network

I easily become obsessed with people. Not the creepy kind of obsession, I promise, but to where I regularly check for updates or repeatedly look through their pictures and posts. Ok, so it's kinda creepy, but I cannot be the only person that does that. You know who you are.

Getting Ridiculously Annoyed by Annoying People

You know that whole "there's no such thing as a dumb question?" bull honky? I cannot stand certain people and I let them get under my skin entirely to much. If someone is blatantly rude or cannot grasp a simple concept I just want to scream and my chest starts to hurt. This is just one of my 129,939,662,101 pet peeves that I have. It's not their fault their presence is annoying it's just me and my short temper.

Put My Clothes Away Right After They Are Folded

This should seem like a no brainer but I am the biggest procrastinator ever. If there is just a small pile of clothes or just a couple dishes in the sink they do not bug me at all but then the next meal comes or the next load is done and suddenly I am overwhelmed with dirtiness. Just do it, Aspen. Speaking of clothes I need to go through both of the kids clothes and organize and box the stuff that doesn't fit....that'll be next years resolution.

Put Up My Christmas Decorations

I know some of you are like, "What?!" but if you follow my twitter you know that I REFUSE to put up Christmas decorations until it snows. I live in a desert of a town and it does not seem like the snow is coming this year. Which makes it seem like Christmas hasn't even came yet and I had no idea it was NYE until the updates started pouring in.

Ok time for my real resolutions that are going to be an actual challenge but are important to me. I know some people absolutely hate resolutions because a majority of the time they are not kept. For me, however, they are always something I strive for. It's an awesome promise to myself and no one else about bettering me which in turn makes me a better mom/wife/person.

Be More Patient

Over the past few months/years I have been working on my patience and anger. I get upset very quickly and the littlest of things annoy me. This is especially true with my family. Why is it the people we are closest to and care about the most are the people we are the shortest with? I want to be that patient, loving woman I see and idolize.

Be Healthier + Be 100% Committed to Our Vegan Lifestyle

Health has been a big part of my life for the past year. I want to amp that up and have it be something we don't have to think about just something we do. I also need to get back to the gym. I have been exhausted the past couple of weeks with the holidays and can't seem to recover. I'm pretty sure it's the eating bad and not working out that  much. Getting up at four this past week has been impossible.

Be Less Judgmental

I think this one ties into the first one. I have been working on this for awhile but I will just look at someone and come to a conclusion about them, I have found most of the time my conclusions are totally inaccurate. I want to be more Christlike and loving to everyone I meet. I am not a very open person so it is hard for me to open up to people which vice versa makes it hard for people to open up to me.

Inspire Someone

I love getting emails about how my blog is helping someone be their version of better. Whether it's a family member, a friend or someone whom I have never met and probably never will and whether  I know it or not I want to be an inspiration for someone.

Volunteer More

I am a huge believer that you can change someones world, if even only for  a moment because it only takes one moment to change someones world. I want my kids to grow up to be selfless people and to know that true happiness does not come from materialistic items but from the lives you touch and the people you surround yourself with.
