Brunette to Ashy Blonde

Sunday, May 11, 2014

Hey ladies! If you follow any of my Facebook sites or instagram then you probably notice I had a big makeover a couple of days ago. My gorgeous Shey brought my hair back to a fun summer color. I have changed my hair color a million times and have always gone back to the same boring blonde, NOT THIS TIME! This time I was really excited to do something different and I think that I'll definitely be keeping this color for a LONG time.

Easy Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Saturday, May 10, 2014

So I think we can all see why I wear makeup every single day. Beware, that face jumps out at you in the video before you have time to prepare yourself for what is about to happen.

I have never considered myself an expert in makeup but I do know what works for my face shape and I know I like to keep it natural looking 99% of the time. With so many incredible makeup artists out there I was super flattered that you all wanted to see what I do for my daily makeup.

I own no fancy brushes and I buy makeup every 2ish years.
I haven't bought a new eyeshadow in 4+ years and so far it's worked pretty good for me! I used to sell makeup for Arbonne so I am pretty stocked up on eyeshadows and lipsticks haha but the rest of the stuff I pick up at Target/the grocery store and I do like Bare Minerals.

This video is kind of long for something that literally takes me 5 minutes but I tried you guys haha

If you like my makeup tutorial and want to see more videos be sure to subscribe, like and comment with what you'd like to see next!

Beer Yoga

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

So this week I discovered probably the coolest thing ever to grace the yoga community, and that is beer yoga. The best thing about it (besides alcohol and yoga) is that it's at a brewery so it's not crap beer, it's super delicious microbrew. Mix that with some awesome people and you have a new weekly tradition for me. This class was so awesome and a really tough workout! It's DDP (I think, don't quote me on that) yoga and it's really hard. We worked legs and my butt was burning by the end!

Calling All YouTubers!

Thursday, May 1, 2014

Hey all.

I have a confession.

I'm addicted to YouTube.

I know what you're thinking, who isn't!?

You may have notice the low quality vidoes I've been putting up that are obviously from my phone. They are just super simple videos that I have been trying my hardest to take (which is crazy embarrassing because I have a nice camera that takes bomb videos). I love looking back on photos from when Lo was small but you know what brings this momma to tears?

The videos of her saying monkey, or dropping her first puppy because he was "hebby".

So this brings me to the post, I need help!

I really have no idea what to do to make  1) an interesting video 2) what people would even want to see 3) any advice!

I don't plan on just doing videos but I thought it would be fun to add them to my day in the life posts or just random posts.

So what do you guys like/don't like in a youtube video?

I think my main question is, WOULD ANY OF YOU EVEN WATCH IT?

Bathtub Finger Paints

Monday, April 28, 2014

Yesterday was a very gloomy day in our little town so we decided to do a little craft! It took about five minutes to put together and the littles had a blast. We made bathtub Finger Paints! This is a super easy thing to make and you really can't mess it up. Not to mention it smells yummy and if your baby will let you wash them after wards it will clean itself up. Foster would not stop eating it and I just let him, a little baby shampoo never hurt anyone.

Life.

Sunday, April 27, 2014

So today I want to talk about a subject that is very, very dear to my heart, and that is the choice of life.

Now before you sign off and go running I want to express that I am not here to judge, debate or berate but I just want to share a little bit more about me and how these choices have affected my life.

There have been many times that I have attempted to write this post and have deleted it because it wasn't the right time or I couldn't find the right words. I realize that the choice for life isn't just for teen moms but that is what I'm going to be focusing on because that is what is personal for me. Not only did I have my daughter at a very young age but my mom had me when she was 17. She switched schools and her and my dad did everything to the best of their abilities to choose the best life for me but this is not about them, this is just a little back story.

Pantry Revamp

Ok. Don't judge me.

My hubby and I have been living together for four years and I still jump on the struggle bus when it comes to keeping the laundry room clean.

They shouldn't put a door on the freakin things and maybe when my hubby asks about where all his (___insert clothing item here___) are, I wouldn't respond with, "outta sight, outta mind." I try, I really do. But it's either dishes or clothes and dishes normally win. I think it has to do with the whole door thing. I really should just take that dang thing off.

The picture I'm about to show you is mega embarrassing. I promise the rest of my house does not look like this...except maybe my bathroom....notice the my. No I don't share with anyone. I take it over.

Back to the image. Again, don't judge me.

Easter & A Giveaway { Ipad Air }

Sunday, April 20, 2014

Today we had such a good time with our families, hunting for Easter eggs, eating and spending time with the ones we love. We started the day off with cinnamon rolls and Foster absolutely LOVED them. Dad spoiled us by making us breakfast and then Bryson pushed Foster on his bike down the driveway. I was a nervous mommy, thinking he was going to tip over but he absolutely loved it and I can't wait until sister gets home to go on a bike ride with them both.

Hiking in the Snow

Sunday, April 13, 2014

Yesterday the fambam and I went hiking. We weren't anticipating as much snow as their was but it was warm and we had a blast. We had never been on this trail before and it was just the perfect length for Lo to go on without getting too tired. There was a trail of darker snow and every once in awhile there wouldn't be any but there were parts that if you stepped of the trail you sunk down to your knees. At one point Bryson sunk down to his thighs! The only person who didn't sink down at all was Lo.

Foster loved the whole hike and when we were walking around down town and picking up some incense, he took the cutest nap in his backpack. The backpack he was in is really special to me because it was my old one :) After our hike and walking around down town I took some prom pictures for my sister. She looked absolutely amazing :)
